Space

Dr Jo Lloyd

Jo was one of the key players in shaping REACH having led the UK Chemical Industries Association’s technical input into the debate at the National and European level from 2000 until 2006. She has developed an in depth knowledge of the requirements for manufacturers, importers and downstream users of chemicals be they substances, metals, intermediates, monomers, polymers or articles.

Since its launch in early 2006, Jo has led the development of the technical arm of REACHReady, ensuring it maintains its high standards of quality of advice either directly offered by our consultant team or via our approved REACHMatchmaker service providers as well as being responsible for the development and delivery our REACHStart programme.

Jo is the Director of REACHReady and is an internationally recognised speaker in high demand at workshops, conferences and seminars.



 

Lisa Allen

Lisa is a chemist with many years commercial experience, and a background in product development and project management within the inks industry. Her roles have involved working with members of the supply chain to deliver new products to meet demanding specifications.

This commercial experience is a valuable asset when providing technical support through REACHReady’s Helpdesk. Lisa has been the Technical Manager at REACHReady for over a year. As well as providing direct assistance for REACHReady subscribers this role also includes developing and writing technical guidance, website content and editing the REACHReady Review newsletter.

Lisa is also a key member of the team that provides REACH-related training through a programme of workshops and seminars. She is an experienced speaker on REACH both within the UK and internationally and has also had a number of articles published.

 

 

Mark Selby

Much of Mark’s work involves dealing with the complex issues raised by REACHReady customers, with a particular emphasis on the practical aspects of the regulation, carrying out risk assessments and the interpretation of data.

A major part of his work includes acting as a trainer for academic institutions, government agencies and industry (including health care and fine-chemical suppliers) covering areas such as applied toxicology, physico-chemistry and ecotoxicology in relation to regulatory requirements. This includes regular training work with the Chemical Hazards Communication Society for the classification and labelling of chemicals and preparation of Safety Data Sheets.  Recent training programmes include involvement in the European Commission Twinning Project with Poland.

 

 

Bob Warner

In his UK government post at HSE Bob Warner acted as the head of the UK delegation in a wide range of EU negotiations for over 17 years. In particular he was responsible for launching the challenge to the regulatory regime in the late 90s, which led to the Commission’s White paper on Chemicals and ultimately to REACH. Bob has been one of REACHReady’s technical consultants since the company was launched in 2006 and has help to deliver multiple workshops and bespoke consultancy advising companies on their REACH obligations. Bob is a Chartered Chemist and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has a degree in chemistry and an MBA.
